(Children’s current affairs program) BBC Nation Wide (Regional news program),
the late Roy Castle (Roy Castle beats time), Record Breakers
and Film premier Mame.
Denny Wright and The Hot Club of London. Denny formed
The Hot Club of London in 1952 after the death of Guitarist Django
Reinhardt. Voted the UK's premier jazz quartet the Hot Club featured
many world class musicians including on double bass, Gerry Higgins, Len
Skeat and Pete Morgan. Also guitarists Diz Dizley, Nils
Solberg, John Coverdale, Jeff Green and Denny Pursuid. Violinists Don Harper
and later the legendary Johny Van Derrick made up the rest
of the group. I joined the "Hot Club" in the early 1980's and
remained a member of the quartet until the death of Denny in 1992. The Hot
club of London featured the music of Stephan Grapelli and
Django Reinhardt. It's unique style of music entertained audiences around
the world. Denny and I also worked together as the Denny Wright
Duo entertaining audiences throughout the UK and Europe.
Steve Benbow we became great friends and worked together over many years untill his death in 2006.
Velvet featured Len Skeat: Double Bass, Denny Wright
and Ike Issacs: guitar and Digby Fairweather on
cornet. I joined Velvet in the 1980's after Ike Issacs moved to
Australia.

Nil's Solberg, John Coverdale, Max Brittan, Mike Piggot, Jerry Higgins, and
the late Robin Williams.
Radio appearances: BBC Night Ride, BBC Radio London and Jazz FM.
IBM Jazz festival, Ealing Jazz festival, Ronnie Scotts, Bulls Head Barnes and
Pizza Express, 100 Club London, Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and
Cambridge Folk Festival.
Composer and music arranger for Various Big Bands, Jazz quartets and Jazz Rock
Fusion Groups.
UK Tour with the late Jazz Legend Larry Adler.
Guest appearance with the late Stephan Grappelli, with guitarist Martin Taylor
at the 100 Club London.
Session Musician from the early 1980’s appeared on many albums
and broadcasts both TV and Radio. Regular “house” musician on the
Jazz, Blues and Rock circuit in the UK, Europe and South Africa.
Founder member of the Band Retouch (later to become Hard Drive) Toured South
Africa 2002-2005. Session musician, musical arranger and co-writer, Ruben Wentzel’s
debut album Sand in my Skoene.
